The Children’s Imaginarium is a place for children to learn, parents to engage, and families to connect.
From a vision to reality: The Children’s Imaginarium opened its doors in Fall 2023, thanks to the grassroots effort of passionate community members who were dedicated to creating a space for children to learn, parents to engage, and families to connect. Maggie Gordon and Tammy Szekeress rallied community support to raise the necessary funds and secure a location. After years of persistence and hard work, the vision for a children’s museum in downtown Wausau has become a reality.
Mission: To inspire discovery and imagination through hands-on exploration and educational experiences through play.
Vision: To be a vibrant community gathering space for all children and families to gather and engage in innovative, interactive play that accelerates creativity, development and education.
