St Paul Parish Hosting 2nd Annual Blue Mass Honoring First Responders
Mosinee, WI - St. Paul Parish of Mosinee will hold the 2nd Annual Blue Mass on Sunday, September 8th, 2024 at 10:30 am. This special mass recognizes the courageous efforts of our first responders, including police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, dispatchers, and their veterans. The community is encouraged to come together to show appreciation for these individual's vital services to our safety and well-being.
First responders' family members are invited to attend, and first responders can wear their uniforms if possible. Reserved seating will be available for first responders and their families. The Blue Mass is open to all community members, regardless of denomination, as we unite in gratitude for those who serve and protect us every day.
The first Blue Mass began in 1934 when police officers gathered to pray for their fallen comrades and seek God's blessing for their own safety. The name "Blue Mass" comes from the traditional color of many officers' uniforms.
