S.C. Swiderski hosted a Grand Opening ceremony for our SCS Fox Point apartment homes on August 22nd. S.C. Swiderski was joined by many partners on the project including Steve Haas, Dave Johnson, LaDonna Fermanich, Lori Anderson, and Mark Weix from the city of Merrill. They were also joined by Fred Siemers from Paper City Savings as well as Clyde Nelson, Cheryl Skoung, Sara Sturm, Sue Kunkel, Rob Moore, and Mark Raymer from the Merrill Area Chamber of Commerce.

During the ceremony, S.C. Swiderski recognized 2 recipients of their $30,000 giveaway in celebration of their 30th anniversary, each receiving $1,000. These organizations were Lincoln County Humane Society and Community Food Pantry. These organizations were selected by S.C. Swiderski employees.

During the ceremony, Senior Marketing Coordinator from S.C. Swiderski, Samantha Miller, explained the project. SCS Fox Point features 56 market rate apartment homes with 6 different floor plans ranging from 702 to 1244 sq. ft. for tenants to choose from. On the site, there will be 5 multi-family buildings total using 2 different building styles. Each unit comes with an attached or detached garage included with the apartment. All apartments have private laundry and either a patio space or balcony. All apartments include heat, water, sewer, cable, Wi-Fi, trash, lawn care and snow removal in the rent rates. The apartment homes are pet friendly for cats and dogs under 50 pounds. SCS Fox Point is in a convenient location and easily accessible to the community. The apartments also have on-site management who is ready to respond to the needs of the tenants. “We are so excited about the progress – 3 buildings have opened along with our property management office. The final building is set to open in just a few short weeks,” explained Samantha Miller.

Construction by S.C. Swiderski Construction began last summer under the direction of site superintendent Brian Winter. Lease up activity has been strong and is being managed by S.C. Swiderski Property Management headed by Leasing Manager Kari Kussow and Area Manager Mike Manning.

After the ceremony, guests were invited to enjoy some snacks and drinks provided by S.C. Swiderski and guests toured the apartment homes.

All of S.C. Swiderski projects are designed, built, owned, and managed by the company. The company has several other multi-family projects in construction and will be breaking ground on additional projects this year.
